The Police Community Relations Committee paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps 6.1 Rivers Sector to formally receive the new Sector Commander, Corp Commander Francis A. Ajatta, who assumed duties in April 2026. The team was led by Dr. Voke Emore (Chairman) & included Esimvie Osuamkpe (Deputy Secretary), Juliet Isaac (Welfare Secretary), Sonny Tubotamuno (Publicity Secretary), High Chief Nathan Onumajuru (Provost), Nnamdi Esimai (Organizing Secretary), Pastor Durotiwon David (Treasurer), Dr. Priscilia Ibekwe (Ex-Officio), Victoria Chinyere Opara (FIDA Unit), Prince Iyke Nwokeji (Chairman, Oyigbo Area Command), Prince Monday Odumelu (Acting Chairman, Omoku Area Command), Sir Chief Major Iwo (Chairman, Degema Area Command), Hardy Kinikanwo (Special Assistant to the State Chairman), Mrs. Edith Peters (State/Corporate Member), & Kalada Briggs (Member, Old GRA Division).
CC F. A. Ajatta, who was supported by two (2) members of his management team, CRC Kenneth Ifeanyi Odo (Auditor) and CRC Chibuzo Juliet Amoke (Staff Officer AHR), described Rivers State as a very challenging environment for the FRSC, while also recognizing the PCRC as very fundamental to intelligence gathering not only to the Police but to the entire security architecture & as the foundation for State Policing.
The State Chairman also used the opportunity to remind the Sector Commander of the upcoming War Against Drug Abuse event.
