The Rivers State Police Command has strengthened its partnership with sister security agencies following separate courtesy visits by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Rivers State Command.

The visits, held on 9th September 2026, provided an opportunity for the security agencies to discuss ways of improving cooperation, intelligence sharing and coordinated responses to security threats across Rivers State.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju, psc, mnips, fcai, welcomed the visiting management teams and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining strong and productive relationships with sister agencies.

The Commissioner emphasized that effective communication, timely exchange of credible security information and joint operations are essential to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace across the State.

The engagements also highlighted the importance of a united security structure in tackling crime and emerging security challenges.

The courtesy visits ended with the exchange of plaques, symbolising mutual respect, partnership and a shared commitment to improving security and public safety in Rivers State.
