CELEBRATION OF THE 2026 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY, AT THE STATE HEADQUARTERS NIGERIA POLICE FORCE, PORT HARCOURT: 9TH MARCH 2026.

The ever busy Open Registry of the Nigeria Police Force, Rivers State Command Headquarters, took a break on the 9th of March 2026, as the PCRC Women's Committee celebrated the 2026 edition of the International Women's Day with the female police officers of the Open Registry.

In her address to the police women, the Women's Committee Coordinator, Engr. Mrs Darlene Tasie, commended the women officers for their sacrifices, especially the long hours away from their families, the risks they take in the line of duty, and their determination. She also seized the opportunity to call for more support for gender equality. 

The team was received by the head of the Open Registry, SP Fineface Waribo, who observed with joy as the women under his command were celebrated and presented with gifts.

Other women on the committee included Juliet Isaac, State Welfare Secretary, Confidence Woko, Youth Committee Coordinator, Flora Uche Ogbonna, and Nonye Maryann Ikwue-Omakwu, State members, Kaine O. Harry, Abonnema Division, Princess Vera Agba, Eneka Division, Olagunju Jane Chidi, Umuebulu, and Mrs Aga Owoiche, Woji Division.

Replying on behalf of the women Police officers, Woman Inspector Helen Ifiok appreciated the PCRC women for their thoughtfulness.
