INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026: 22ND AUGUST 2026
Saturday, 22nd August, 2026 was the International Youth Day for 2026. The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, psc, mnips, celebrated the day in grand style with his Management Team, Area Commanders, and DPOs.
In attendance were youth bodies comprising student representatives from universities and polytechnics in Rivers State; Royal fathers, the Ada of Ekpeye Kingdom, NYSC members, members of the press, Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), and others.
The PCRC was ably represented by the Youth Committee led by Confidence Nkeiruka Woko (Youth Committee Coordinator), Anietie Effiong, Nnamdi Clinton, Peter Nemene and Nonye Maryann Ikwue-Omakwu.
Activities for the day included a lecture on the danger of cybercrimes, tree planting, and a road walk.
