AIG ZUBAIRU'S STRONG MESSAGE TO RIVERS POLICE! TOP OFFICERS, PCRC AND STAKEHOLDERS ORDERED TO IMPLEMENT IGP DISU'S VISION
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 16, AIG Abubakar Zubairu, PSC (+), has intensified efforts to strengthen policing and public safety through strategic engagements with the Rivers State Police Command, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Honorary Members of the Mess, and other critical stakeholders.
During the engagement held on 25 June 2026, AIG Zubairu emphasized that effective policing can only be achieved through strong collaboration between the Police, community leaders, security partners, and members of the public. He urged officers and stakeholders to align fully with the directives and policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, aimed at promoting professionalism, accountability, intelligence-led policing, and improved service delivery across the country.
As part of the interactive session, the AIG delivered lectures on important professional issues, including Garnishee Orders, the Nigeria Police Force Social Media Policy, and effective supervision of officers and personnel. He stressed that adherence to these directives would improve operational efficiency and strengthen public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.
AIG Zubairu further noted that sustained partnerships with the PCRC, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders remain vital in tackling security challenges and building safer communities. He encouraged all participants to continue supporting initiatives that enhance police-community relations and improve security outcomes throughout Rivers State and the entire Zone.
The engagement forms part of the Nigeria Police Force's ongoing commitment to implementing the Inspector-General's policing reforms, strengthening stakeholder participation, and ensuring effective service delivery across Zone 16.
