EASTER LUNCHEON OF THE AIR COMPONENT, OPERATION DELTA SAFE (OPDS): 6TH APRIL 2026
The Air Component of Operation Delta Safe had an Easter Luncheon on the 6th of April 2026. The event, hosted by the Commander of the 115 Special Operations Group, Group Captain A. A. Opaleye was to boost the morale of the officers, airmen and airwomen of the air component of Operation Delta Safe, and recognise their service and sacrifices to the nation. The special guest of honour was the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke (Distinguished Flying Star), ably represented by Air Vice Marshal H.N. Yurkusi (General Service Star), Chief of Logistics, Headquarters, Nigerian Airforce.
In attendance were representatives of the Nigerian Airforce Officers' Wives', Association, Airmen Wives' Association, representatives of sister security agencies including the Commandant, Nigerian Navy Training School, Onne, Rear Admiral A. Mohammed, the Commander, Nigerian Navy School, Pathfinder, represented, the Nigerian Army, 6 Division Nigerian Army, represented and the State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), represented.
Also in attendance were the Chairman, PCRC Rivers State Command, Dr. Voke Emore, ably represented by Esimvie Osuamkpe, the State Deputy Secretary, and Juliet Isaac, State Welfare Secretary, as well as Nduka Nnamdi Nwalozie, a state member.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of a souvenir to the CAS as represented.
