COURTESY VISIT TO THE 115 SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP, NIGERIAN AIR FORCE: 22ND APRIL 2026
On the 22nd of April 2026, the State Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Rivers State Command, Dr. Voke Emore led a delegation of the PCRC Exco on a courtesy visit to the 115 Special Operations Group, the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe, at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Port Harcourt.
Also in the delegation were Esimvie Osuamkpe, Deputy Secretary, Juliet Isaac, Welfare Secretary, Nnamdi Esimai, Organising Secretary, Amb. Dcn. Donald Osifoh, State/Corporate Coordinator, Ajose Idowu, Deputy Secretary, Mini-Okoro Area Command, and Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Didia (Squadron Leader Rtd), Chairman Isiokpo Area Command, as well as Victoria Opara, Esq., a state member and also member of the Children's Day Committee.
The PCRC was received by the Commander 115 Special Operations Group, Group Captain Abdulafeez Opaleye mss, fss, rbs, psc+, mnim, his Principal Staff Officers and Commanding Officers and officers including the Group Administrative Officer Wing Commander Isaac Ohaegbulam, the Group Training Officer, Wing Commander D. O. Olagbeinde, the Commanding Officer Regiment Training, Squadron Leader E. L. Adanka, the Group Logistics Officer, Flight Lieutenant N. I. Augustine, the Group Intelligence Officer, Flying Officer E. F. Oyom, the Group Legal Officer, Flying Officer M. A. Muhktar, and the Group Public Relations Officer, Flying Officer Blessing Ejeh.
At the visit, the State Chairman intimated the Commander about the activities of the PCRC and extracted a commitment to celebrate the 2026 edition of the Children's Day at the Air Force Secondary School.
In his response, the Commander was very pleased to have the PCRC visit him. He, however, suggested that more is done to ensure that the PCRC becomes a household name, where people will readily recognise it.
He promised the cooperation of Air Force wherever necessary. He also acknowledged that the Nigeria Police Force is actually very efficient from his personal experience. He also observed in passing that it would be a beautiful thing if retired security personnel are allowed to head paramilitary organisations as is found in some climes. The visit was generally a very cordial and fruitful one.
