CELEBRATION OF THE PCRC AT 42 BY THE PCRC NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA :6TH & 7TH MAY 2026

Activities commemorating the celebrations of the PCRC at 42 held in Abuja on the 6th and 7th of May 2026.

Dr. Voke Emore led a delegation of the PCRC Rivers State Command to the events. Members of the delegation included the Deputy Secretary, Esimvie Osuamkpe, the Welfare Secretary, Juliet Isaac the Financial Secretary, Clifford Wilcox, and the Legal Adviser II, Barr. Ebi Pax Harry. 

Activities on the first day of the celebrations included a road walk/roadshow, medical outreach to members, and foundation laying ceremony of the PCRC National Secretariat, which would be named after IGP Olatunji Disu, performed by both the AIG Zone 7, AIG Victor Olaiya, and the Federal Capital City Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed M. Sanusi. Both officers praised the PCRC for taking the bold step to build the National Headquarters and pledged the support of the Police.

On the same day, a newly refurbished Toyota Hilux vehicle was handed over to the PCRC Chairman by Hon. Austen E.Yong, who headed the committee that refurbished the vehicle. Receiving the keys on behalf of the PCRC, the National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan praised the committee and charged other committees to be equally dependable when given assignments to perform.

The second day of the celebrations which was also the closing ceremony to conclude the celebrations which started from units and divisions weeks before, was devoted to a few short lectures from different resource persons, the award of certificates of appreciation to State and Zonal Chairmen, as well as the appointment of some distinguished individuals as patrons of the PCRC National Headquarters.

Cash awards were also presented to some dedicated police officers drawn from the rank and file.

Dignitaries at the event included the IGP of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, ably represented by the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Force Intelligence, DIG Kenechukwu Onwumelu, and Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, CP Ahmed M. Sanusi. Other dignitaries included the Chairman, Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), represented by Dr Torty Njoku Kalu, a representative of the Director,Directorate of State Services (DSS), FCT Command, the Minister for Youth Development, Hon. Ayo Olawande, represented by Amina Mohammed, Police Officers Wives Association, and others.
