PCRC Rivers Explores Collaboration with Nollywood Recognition Award Organisers

The Secretariat of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Rivers State, at the Police Officers' Mess, Port Harcourt, played host to the organisers of the Nollywood Recognition Award (NRA).

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, was aimed at fostering a partnership between the NRA and the PCRC ahead of the prestigious award ceremony scheduled for December 7th, 2025.

The NRA delegation included:

  • Document Bishop – Project Director
  • Godstime Christopher – Event/Program Manager
  • Ruth Audu – Secretary
  • Lizzie Solomon – Head of Awards
  • Cedar Maculate – Chaperone

They were warmly received by the PCRC State Chairman, Amb. Voke Emore, alongside Nnamdi Esimai, the State Organising Secretary.

The meeting provided an opportunity for dialogue on how both organisations can work together to promote positive community-police relations through the lens of entertainment and social engagement. The synergy is expected to boost awareness of the PCRC’s role in community development, while also supporting Nollywood’s cultural influence in nation-building.

This potential collaboration highlights the PCRC’s continuous efforts to expand its partnerships beyond security, engaging with creative industries to further strengthen its bridge-building mission between the police and the people.

As December draws closer, more details of this partnership and its impact on the NRA Award 2025 are expected to be unveiled.
