AIG Zone 16 Boosts Morale of 15th BIPOGA Participants in Port Harcourt
The Nigeria Police Force Zone 16 has taken a significant step to motivate officers participating in the 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 16, Yenagoa, paid a morale-boosting visit to athletes in Port Harcourt on February 6, 2026.
Encouragement Ahead of BIPOGA 2026
The AIG, accompanied by the Commissioners of Police of Bayelsa and Rivers States, visited the participants during their final training and preparation phase. Addressing the athletes, he stated that the purpose of the visit was to encourage, motivate, and pray for their success, urging them to aim for medals at the forthcoming games.
He reassured the officers of his full support, reminding them that those who usually win gold medals are not extraordinary, but individuals who believe in themselves and give their best.
Welfare, Logistics, and Rewards Assured
The AIG further informed the participants that adequate arrangements had been made regarding their welfare and logistics, adding that attractive rewards await officers who emerge as medal winners during the competition.

Support for Injured Officers
In a show of compassion and leadership, the AIG extended a hand of fellowship to Inspector Barisi Nwido and PC Ned Precious, who sustained injuries during training. He assured them of the Zone’s commitment to fully cover their medical bills and ensure proper care.
Appreciation from Zonal Sports Committee
Responding on behalf of the athletes, the Chairman of the Zonal Sports Committee expressed profound gratitude to the AIG and his entourage, noting that their presence and encouragement would significantly boost the morale of the team to achieve greater success at the games.
The 15th BIPOGA is scheduled to take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium from February 14 to 21, 2026.

AIG ZONE 16 BOOST MORALE OF 15TH BIPOGA PARTICIPANT IN PORT-HACOURT
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 16 Yenagoa today 6/02/2026 visited all participants of the 15th Biennial Police Games in port-hacourt while they are making final preparations for games.
In his speech the AIG said, am here with the two command CP's of Bayelsa and Rivers States to encourage, motivate and pray for you to win Medals during the game, re-assured them of his full support, reminding them of those that usually won the gold medals does not have two head.
He informed them of the arrangements made towards their welfare, logistics and assuring them of juicy reward for the winners of medals.
Those on the entourage are CP Bayelsa State Command CP Iyama Daniel Edobor, CP Rivers State CP Olugbenga Adepoju, Chairman of the Zonal Sports Committee, respective sports officer of Zone 16, Bayelsa and Rivers State.
The AIG concluded his remarks by extending hands of fellowship to one Inspr Barisi Nwido and PC Ned Precious who sustained injuries during training hours. He assured them of the zone commitment to Carter for their hospital bills.
The Chairman of Zonal Sports Committee expressed gratitude to the AIG, his entourage for showing presence and which will boost the morale of the boys to achieve something bigger and greater in the forthcoming BIPOGA at Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba slated to take place in the 14th to 21st February, 2026.
