PCRC STATE MONTHLY MEETING FEBRUARY 2026
PCRC MONTHLY MEETING, OFFICERS MESS: 19TH FEBRUARY 2026
The monthly meeting of the Police Community Relations Committee for the month of February 2026 held at the Police Officers' Mess on Thursday, 19th February 2026.
The meeting was presided over by the State Chairman, Amb. Voke Emore, and supported by the Deputy Chairman, Sir Chief Eben Ogan JP, along with other members of the Executive Council of the PCRC at the State Command.
In attendance were delegates from divisions and area commands drawn from across the length and breadth of the entire state.
Notable personalities at the meeting included the PCRC Chairman, Zone 16, Bishop Moses Omonkhuale, and the Welfare Secretary of Zone 16, Chief Dr O.M.A. Awoh, the oldest member of the PCRC, Chief Wofuru Okparaolu, and the immediate past State Chairman, Chief Casca Ogosu.
Highlights of the meeting included a worship service (to open the year), with Confidence Woko leading in songs, and prayers of thanksgiving, for the Nigeria Police Force and for Nigeria, by Rev. Dr Ebenezer Didia, Bishop Favour, and Pastor Durotiwon David. In a sermon titled "Peace Makers," Rev. Akiri described the Police as "Peace Makers" and reinterpreted the acronym PCRC as "Peace Makers Relations Committee." The sermon was concluded with a Christian prayer by Bishop Godwin Ogbuji and a Muslim prayer by Mohammed Agindotan in recognition of the secular nature of the Nation and by extension the Nigeria Police Force.
Other activities included the introduction of new Officer in Charge of the Mess (O/C Mess), ASP Lucy Esso, newly elected delegates from Eleme Area Command and Elelenwo Division, the induction of new members, as well as the cutting of a birthday cake by members whose birthdays fell in the months of January and February, and goodwill messages from some of our partners including FIDA, NDLEA, Nigerian Immigrations Service, and ASP Ogbuewe Captain who was replacing DSP Moses Nnyam of the PPRO's office, following his retirement.
