PCRC Hosts Students from Annstar Secondary School, Umuebulu, Etche LGA
On Thursday, 25th July, the PCRC played host to JS 3, and SS 3 students from Annstar Secondary School, Umuebulu, Etche LGA. The PCRC leadership was represented by the State Chairman, the State Deputy Secretary, and representatives of the Youth and Women’s Committees. The highly interactive session, which was designed to mentor these students as they prepare to move on to the next significant level of their education also had in attendance the wife of the CP, and Chairperson of the Police Officers Wives’ Association (POWA), Rivers State, Mrs Mutiat Olufunmilola Disu, who was the Key Note Speaker along with some of her Management Team. Speakers at the interactive session included the State Chairman who encouraged the students to read books, work hard, and persevere to be the best at what they do and become better people. He also reminded them that failure was not final. Therefore, they should never give up on their goals. The Special Guest at the event, the wife of the CP, and the Chairperson of POWA spoke to the graduates about staying safe online, while Engr. Eric Eregare talked to them about entrepreneurship, encouraging them to persevere and to be focused.
