International Day Against Drug Abuse - PCRC Rivers State Command Collaborates With NDLEA on Road Walk
On the 26th of June 2025, the PCRC joined our partners, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on a road walk as part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Also on the rally, were other stakeholders such as the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Social Watch Anti-Drugs Abuse Advocacy (SWADAA), as well as the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Drug and Substance Abuse Reduction Committee (DSARC), and the Rivers State Ministry of Health.
A very significant aspect of the rally was the involvement of students from secondary schools, as the rally started with lectures at the Community Secondary School Okporo, before the train moved through some streets of Port Harcourt, starting from the Okporo Road axis, and terminating at the ever busy Rumuomasi market.
Emmanuel Ogbumgbada, Deputy State Commander, Operations and Training, NDLEA, Rivers State Command, representing the State Commander NDLEA, Ahmed Mamuda expressed his appreciation to all partners.
