Commissioning of Gunboats Donated to the Rivers State Command of Nigeria Police
The PCRC Chairman, Voke Emore, and his team, yesterday, 18th February 2025, witnessed the commissioning of six (6) gunboats donated to the Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Police by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM. The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the popular Abonnema Wharf, was done by DIG Ari Mohammed Ali, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, who represented the Inspector General of Police. Also in attendance were AIG Adebola Hamzat, psc, fdc, PhD, the Assistant Inspector General, Zone 16, CP Francis Alonyenu Idu, the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State, and the host Commissioner of Police, CP Adegbenga Adepoju. The Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, DSSRS, was represented by Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government. Other stakeholders also witnessed the occasion.
